1st CCIT Open Video


Rules and Regulations 

1. The CCIT Multimedia Open is open to all bonafide CCIT students only.

2. Entries may be applied for the competition if the videos were made: (a) within the past semester (June 2011 onwards).

3. An entrant may join one or more categories and may submit as many entries for each category.

4. The CCIT Multimedia Committee shall not be liable for any controversy regarding the sharing of awards among the members of the group.

5. Entries selected for the finals cannot be withdrawn from the competition

6. The College of Computing and Information Technology will retain ownership of all copies submitted. It is the entrants’ responsibility to keep the original copy of the work. These entries will also be CCIT property once submitted.

7. CCIT will also have the right to exhibit the entry in any related events.

8. Upon submission, full confidentiality / secrecy of all entries must be maintained.

9. Any entry not following the rules, regulations and mechanics are disqualified.





 Mechanics

 1. The deadline for registration and submission of entries is on February 29, 2012 (Wednesday), at 1pm.

 2. Registration forms may be obtained from the following: 

1.     Forms may also be downloaded from this blogsite or you may contact and look for Ms. Aimee Dalisay. (www.itechfestival.blogspot.com)

2.     Or from Ms. Aimee A. Dalisay (facilitator for Multimedia)

3. Upon submission, an application fee of P50.00 will be collected along with the following:

(a) accomplished application form
(b) list of participants
(c) three copies of the entry

4. All of the requirements should be placed in a short brown envelope with complete information. One registration form per entry. P50 for every entry.
Further requirements may be asked by the finalists from the facilitator.

Categories:

a. Animation (on the spot)
            * no more than 2-3 min in length.
            * uses clay with a maximum of 5 colors
            * composes of 3 students
            * 1 hour time preparation

b. Music Video
            * any original song by a local artist/band of no more than 7 minutes

c. Advertising
            * promotion of CCIT, no more than 1 min. in length

5. Cash prizes for each category:
·    Best Clay Animation – 2,000 pesos 
·    Best Music Video – 2,500 pesos
·    Best Advertisement – 1,500 pesos

6. Three copies of the entry must be submitted in .avi data file on DVD format or directly to DVD.

7. List of finalists for each category will be released on March 1, 2012.

8. The decision of the Board of Judges is final.

Greetings!

The College of Computing and Information Technology will be celebrating its annual festival to Information Technology, The ITech Festival, on March 1 and 2, 2012 with the theme Award IT: Acknowledging the Worldwide Advancements Related to the Development of Information Technology which primarily aims at recognizing information technologies by our students in the College. At the end of the event, IT products shall be exposed to showcase worldwide advancements related to the development of information technology. Full participation of our students is also expected for we make such display for their benefit.

The event will highlight contested activities leading at recognizing IT advancements. Activities include Multimedia Contests such as Animation, Music Video Making, Advertising, Programming Competition, and the Search for Mr and Ms CCIT 2012. It will also showcase the latest trends in information technology with the help of our local IT partners.

We expect that this is another momentous undertaking we look forward to happen very soon.

In this connection, may we be blessed with your approval to conduct the said historic event. Your permission will guarantee successful student and faculty development towards worldwide advancements concerning our field.

iTech Festival Teams

One of the innovation made in this year's iTech Festival was the composition of different teams who would compete to the different contested activites. It will be a battle of the great warriors. Below are the different teams created:

Black Team
BSIT 1A, 1E, 1I, 2D, 2G, Lad3A, CS2, CS4

Yellow Team
BSIT 1B, 1F, 2A, 2E, 3C, Lad 4, CS1A

Green Team
BSIT 1C, 1G, 2B, 2F, 3B, 4A, CS3

So, goodluck to all the teams. Let's get ready to rumble. :)

iTech Festival 2012 Approved

Yehey, Dr. Rimalu B. Serrano, the Executive Officer of the Isabela State University Cauayan Campus has approved the conduct of the annual celebration of the CCIT's iTech Festival on March 1 to 2, 2012 with the theme, Award IT: Acknowledging the Worldwide Advancements Related to the Development of Information Technology. The letter of approval was signed last January 30, 2012.

Trivia:
The theme for this year's iTech Festival was conceptualized through the help of the kind-hearted mother of ISU Cauayan Campus, Dr. Rimalu B. Serrano.

a note of WELCOME

Yes, it's really more fun in the College of Computing and Information Technology. The CCIT of Isabela State University Cauayan Campus is on the road to prepare and conduct the annual celebration of the iTech Festival on March 1 to 2, 2012. This year's theme is derived from the acronym AWARD IT, which stands for, Acknowledging the Worldwide Advancements Related to the Development of Information Technology.

It's going to be an exciting iTech Festival. There are many contested activities like Film Making, Programming, Photo-Editing, Digital Poster Making, Quiz Bowl, Literary, Singing, Dancing, Battle of the Pick-Up Lines, Frozen Throne Tournament and many more. The Search for Mr. and Ms. CCIT 2012 is another highlights of the said activity.

So, to all the people who are expecting a lot from this event.. join, participate and show what you've got,  it's Showtime! because it is more fun to be an IT student.
